For optimal functioning, the Tata app needs to run in the background or with the app closed or screen locked. 

There are some smartphone models that forcibly close apps due to energy saving policies. For this reason it is necessary to activate certain settings to allow our app to work correctly, even in the background. 

 

Here you will find some useful videos to help check that your smartphone settings allow your Tata Pad to function properly.

 

  • Make sure you have the Tata app in your smartphone's list of protected apps: Advanced phone settings - battery management - protected applications - select the Tata app


    Setting directly tested with Huawei P8 Lite; this setting may also be valid for other models of the Huawei range, check if your model is one of them.

 

  • Make sure you have the Tata app in the "Ignore battery optimisation" list: phone settings - applications - settings - special accesses - ignore battery optimisation - select "allow" Tata app

  • Check that the Tata app relaunches correctly every time the smartphone is started: Phone settings - battery - app launch - select Tata, then disable the check for automatic management
